Students learned about the history of the school through a video researched by Coach Swanigan. Several staff members spoke about their time as former Langston students.   Various activities were conducted for the assembly. Music teacher Angelique Zeigler prepared a musical performance for every gradeto honor famous black figures such as Ruby Bridges, Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Tuskegee Airmen.  The Langston cheerleaders concluded the program by singing “We are the Langston Rockets” which was developed by former music teacher Paula Bettis.
