Langston Magnet School is on a mission to help get clean fresh water for schools in Haiti. Ozark Water Projects is collecting used shoes of all kinds. Those shoes are wholesaled to a buyer who ships them overseas to third world countries where they are sold in marketplaces to people who need shoes. The money that the water project gets for the shoes is used to drill wells and buy water treatment equipment for villages and schools in Haiti. ALL used shoes of any size, from house shoes to cowboy boots, are needed. Collect from your family, friends and neighbors. Ask people at your church, or other places you frequent, to donate. Put the shoes in plastic shopping bags and bring them to school. Our goal is 1,500 pairs by November 30. Start bringing the shoes NOW!
Langston Magnet filled the front and back of this pickup truck with shoes donated to Ozark Water Projects. The shoes will be sold to a wholesale company and shipped overseas to be sold in markets to people who need shoes. The money from the sale of the shoes is then used to drill wells and purchase water treatment equipment for people in Haiti, Kenya, and Uganda.
Thank you Langston students, staff, and our community partners for your donations to this project!
